Veggin’ Out

We’re very lucky to live in a climate zone that is pretty much perfect for growing vegetables. Mister P. built a raised veggie bed and compost bin on the western side of our house in 2010, so this is our third year of veggie farming. Last summer he hooked this area into our main sprinkler system, so it’s pretty low maintenance. We planted our current plot near the beginning of April, and although I didn’t take a photo at that time, I figured now is a good enough time to start documenting the growth. Walter

This is Walter. About five years ago, we decided to get a second dog as a companion to the reigning queen of our house, Abbey. We found Walter (not his original name) on Craigslist. His owners (a family of 4) wanted to go on vacation, and didn’t want the hassle or added cost of figuring out who would take care of him. So they decided to just get rid of him (seriously).
