Mother’s Day Planter Box DIY Project

Veggin’ Out

We’re very lucky to live in a climate zone that is pretty much perfect for growing vegetables. Mister P. built a raised veggie bed and compost bin on the western side of our house in 2010, so this is our third year of veggie farming. Last summer he hooked this area into our main sprinkler system, so it’s pretty low maintenance. We planted our current plot near the beginning of April, and although I didn’t take a photo at that time, I figured now is a good enough time to start documenting the growth. Front Flower Beds After

About a month ago, I did a post about the flower beds in the front of our house. Shortly after that, we did some shopping and planting, and now they look like this: Before shot of the flower bed on the left in the above photo (sorry it’s not exactly the same angle):   And after (the rosemary and lavender got major haircuts): Before: And after: I’m pretty happy with the results thus far.
