Front Flower Beds After

About a month ago, I did a post about the flower beds in the front of our house. Shortly after that, we did some shopping and planting, and now they look like this: Before shot of the flower bed on the left in the above photo (sorry it’s not exactly the same angle):   And after (the rosemary and lavender got major haircuts): Before: And after: I’m pretty happy with the results thus far. Front Yard Flower Beds

Our home was a short sale when we purchased in the summer of 2008. At the time, the landscaping was pretty neglected. The front lawn was dead, there was no grass in the back (just a patch of dirt!), we had no fence separating front yard from back, there was a random pile of dirt and bricks in the corner, and a profusion of wild onions grew EVERYWHERE. It took me lots of time and diligence to dig all those wild onions out (it’s the only way to get rid of them), and even now they pop up on occasion.…
